1) Sign Report Book



Do go through the report book today, sign and allow our child to return tomorrow. If not, latest by this Thursday, 15 Nov.

*Do also refer to the Primary 2 book list. It will show you the books our children will need to have for P2 next year.


2) Sign Travel Declaration Form



Do fill in the travel declaration form and allow our children to hand in tomorrow. If you child is not travelling anywhere this year-end holidays, do indicate with a nil. 



3) Bring 1 Light Recyclable/Eco-friendly  Bag






1) 1 Light Ecofriendly Bag 

For these few coming days, all of you will be getting back your books, files and materials which you have in our classroom. Your subject teachers may also be returning you your items. You may like to bring a light ecofriendly bag to contain them and bring them home. If you do not an ecofriendly bag, you could bring a plastic bag.

ZPS Shining Stars 2018 (Thursday, 8 November 2018)

A gentle reminder that it will be our Speech and Drama performance tomorrow.

Dismissal Time: 5 p.m.
Attire: PE attire and school shoes
Do have your child eat his or her lunch at home before coming to school.

1) Sign form (Parent Symposium 2019 - An Invitation To Parents Of P2-P6 Pupils)



Parent Symposium 2019  (Thursday-Friday, 3-4 January 2019)
There will be a Parent Symposium at the start of next year and we would like to invite parents and guardians to attend this symposium. There would be workshops and parenting talks.

I would need your help to indicate on the acknowledgement slip which workshop you would like to attend and your dietary preference. If you are not attending, please do indicate a "0" for the number of people attending or indicate nil.

1) Practise reading aloud. Read with clear pronunciation, audibly and with good pace.
2) Practise timulus-Based Conversation. Share confidently and as much as you can without the teacher's prompting.

Oral Test (This Thursday, 1 November)
There will be oral test on this Thursday. 
Do practise reading aloud passages, look at pictures, describe and develop responses as much as possible without the teacher's prompting.


The Princess And The Frog Speech and Drama Performance (Next Thursday, 8 November)



Our children will be putting up a performance titled "The Princess And The Frog" in our school hall on next Thursday. The song sheet has been given out to our children. They will need to practise singing these 3 songs which they have learnt in class.

You may like to get your child/ward to sing to you the songs and do the actions.

Do set aside some time everyday to practise singing these three songs at home.

- Pick the correct word, picture and answers based on the word sounds, sentences, instructions and passages respectively that are being read out

Homework
The Day You Celebrated Your Birthday

Writing: The Day You Celebrated Your Birthday (Hand in on Next Monday, 8 Oct)
Choose 1, 2 or 3 pictures and do a writing on the above topic. Remember to write in the following: 
1) Setting (Time and place that your story took place)
2) Characters (People and pets)
3) Events (What happened in the story)

After completing, revise and check that you have done the following:
1) Start every sentence with capital letter and end with a punctuation mark.
2) Write in past tense.
2) Count the words, make sure there are at least 80 words.
**For pupils who have gotten a writing guide, you may choose to use this guide. Fill in the blanks, then rewrite on the lined paper.
