Dear Children, Parents and Guardians,



Thank you to all of you for every small effort in celebrating Teachers' Day for all your teachers today. Children, I am proud of you for every effort that you put in into making a card, note or a small gift and how you choose the act of giving and caring.

Remember to set aside some time to revise your work this holidays.

Annual Health Screening



Our children will be going for a health screening after September Holidays. I would need your help to support your child/ward in the following: 
1) Bring Health Booklet (Monday, 10 September)
*If your child/ward does not have the booklet, he/she may buy at our school bookshop at $1.60. The one sold in our bookshop looks like the following:



2) Log on to website, http://childconsent.hpb.gov.sg, to give consent for your child's / ward's screening and provide medical information.


I will see all of you back in school after your September holidays. Have a good break, rest well and stay safe if you are travelling!

Today's Homework


The Day I Lost My Pet

Writing: The Day I Lost My Pet
Choose 1, 2 or 3 pictures and do a writing on the above topic. Remember to write in the following: 
1) Setting (Time and place that your story took place)
2) Characters (People and pets)
3) Events (What happened in the story)

After completing, revise and check that you have done the following:
1) Start every sentence with capital letter and end with a punctuation mark.
2) Write in past tense.
2) Count the words, make sure there are at least 80 words.
**For pupils who have gotten a writing guide, you may choose to use this guide. Fill in the blanks, then rewrite on the lined paper.

PSLE Oral Examination For P6 Pupils (Thursday-Friday, 16-17 Aug)
A gentle note for parents and guardians that for the next two days, it will be the PSLE oral examination for our P6 children. Our P1-P5 children need not report to school on these two days. Do have a good rest at home. I will see all of our children back in school on Next Monday.

Maths Game Sets: Addition and Subtraction Game






To help our children learn their addition and subtraction, our school has created the following game set for our children. Each child will take turns to bring home a set of game set for 3 weeks. Do set aside time to play the game together with your child/ward. Our child may also play the game with their brothers, sisters, cousins, friends or neighbours during the three weeks when they are holding on to the game set.


1) Play Addition and Subtraction game boards

2) Record into every box in the challenge booklet for every round played
- Date the game round is being played
- Person's name/signature
3) Show booklet to parents/guardians to sign and share comments

Do remember to hand in the complete set of game in the file and bring it back to school after 3 weeks. Have fun playing!







(*More information for Parents: Our children will each be bringing home a game set with addition and subtraction game boards for a week. The children have played one round in the classroom and they enjoyed themselves very much. The children need to learn their addition and subtraction facts well and this game will help them learn through fun. Please do show support for our children in playing this game with them! They may also like to play this game with their siblings, neighbours or friends.)
