National Day Celebration (Next Wednesday, 8 August)



We will be celebrating our National Day on Next Wednesday and we would like to welcome all of you to join us in this celebration together. Each child may bring up to 2 attendees. 


Information for our children:
Reporting Time: 7.25 a.m. (as per usual)
Dismissal Time: 9.45 a.m. 
Attire: Red and white clothes 
*Our child may wear his/her PE attire if he/she does not have any red or white clothes.
Things To Bring: Water bottle, storybook

Maths Test (Next Tuesday, 24 July)




There will be a Maths Test for our children on next Tuesday, 24 July.

Class Photo-taking (This Friday, 18 July)


Our children have taken photos with their Mother Tongue classes today. However, there has been a reschedule of our form class photo taking to this Friday, 20 July. Our children need to be in their full school uniform for the photo-taking (as per their usual attire on every Friday).

Racial Harmony Day (Tomorrow, 17 July)




We will be commemorating our Racial Harmony Day tomorrow, 17 July. We encourage all of you, boys and girls, to come to school in an ethnic costume if you have or if you are able to find a set. You may wear an ethnic costume of your race or different from your raceHere are some ideas for ethnic costumes. As for shoes, wear your school shoes. If you do not have any ethnic costumes, do not worry. You may wear your school uniform as per usual.

Wear Full School Uniform (Next Wednesday, 18 July)


Our class will be taking class photos on next Wednesday, 18 July. Our children will need to wear their full school uniform. There will be no Physical Education (PE) activities during PE lesson on this day, hence our children need not bring their PE attire.

Sports Carnival Day (Next Thursday, 12 July)
Our school will be having our Sports Carnival on Next Thursday. All of our P1 children will be grouped in our house colours (red, green, yellow, blue house groups) and compete against other house colours. Our 1DS children and children in other P1 classes will do a short obstacle race, i.e. jump over a short hurdle, crawl through a play tunnel and jump in a gunny sack. 

Details of Sports Carnival are as of follow:

  


Venue: Serangoon Stadium 

(For P1 and 2, there will be school bus to bring our children from our school to the stadium and back from the stadium to our school.)
Reporting Time to school and Dismissal Time from school: As usual
Things To Bring: Small bag, water bottle, storybook
*Light refreshments will be given.
Attire: PE Attire

We would also like to invite all you to join us and our children in our event. Our children have received an invitation form today. Do refer to the form, indicate if you would like to participate in our Parents'/Teachers' Relay Race or join us to watch our school children do their race at the stadium and allow your child to submit to me tomorrow.

3) Collect 3 toilet paper rolls at home
*They can be long or short rolls. We will be using them to make a telescope for our writing in Shark In The Park next week. I will let our children know which day to bring them next week.
